“I first started dreaming up this blog many years ago. It was on my mind for a long time, and it went through a few incarnations before I got it right.”
– Victor Pride
For the past several weeks I’ve been writing content for other people’s blogs and affiliate sites. It’s an easy job and doesn’t take a whole lot of effort. Some of the clients that I work for, like a bong and vaporizer supplier, are pretty cool to write content for. Also, “I work for a bong distribution company” makes for a great response when girls ask me what I do for a living.
While talking to one of my customers I learned how much their affiliate site was earning. I was impressed. After hearing what the income was I decided to start up a new site for myself. While I’ve done affiliate work in the past, I was never particularly good at it. This time I’m putting in more effort and using everything that I’ve learned from my past year of blogging to make a profitable site.
Here are just a few of the tools that I’m using to maximize my efforts:
I’ve written about this service before and I’ve seen tremendous results from it. Just this morning I got over a hundred visitors off Google searches. Most of them were looking for porn, but it was still traffic.
- I also decided to try using the Azon Theme. In the past I’d been operating off of traditional blog posts with linkage in them, but I’ve decided to take a more professional route this time around. I’ll report my findings at a later date.
- Lastly, I’ve made it a point to make every post on my new site meet the SEO by Yoast guidelines. I don’t do it a whole ton on here, but when I have my articles have gotten a lot more viewers.
I’m also going to get a little SEO done off Fiverr and see how that effects the viewership.
Once I get my new site off the ground, I’ll make sure to mention it on Twitter. If it goes correctly it should be a good template on how to design and build a niche website.
