I’m going to try to pay you for reading this post.
But we’ll get back to that in a minute.
First I want to tell you about an exciting business venture with incredible returns: Designing t-shirts.
For every $5.50 you invest, you make roughly $44.50 in profit. And there’s virtually zero risk. You don’t have to learn a new skill, build a website, or do anything special. It’s a business so simple that anyone could do it.
In fact, it’s one of the easiest money-making systems I’ve ever stumbled on.
Why Designing T-Shirts Is A Great Business Opportunity For You
A few weeks back I read a really stupid article about summer jobs for college students. The author, who probably meant well, had a whole bunch of stupid ideas that are virtually impossible for the average person. Among the suggestions were “day trader” and “oil well driller.” Not exactly things that the average 18 year-old can master during summer break. All the list was missing was a suggestion like “win the lottery.”
Peeved by this crummy article, I took it upon myself find a better money-making system. One that anyone could do. After playing around with several different ideas (I even spent a day cleaning branches out of people’s yards) I struck gold: Designing t-shirts and selling them to businesses.
Within a very short amount of time I made my first sale. Soon afterwards I made another, and then I eventually reached the point where one of my designs got the attention of a major clothing company (more on that in a bit).
Anyway, being the generous guy I am, I’ve taken everything I’ve learned about the t-shirt business and put it in a book for you. It’s titled How To Start A Big Money T-Shirt Business For Less Than $10 (Amazon) and all the profits from it are going to charity. What’s more, if you buy the book I’m going to try to give you $15 of my own money. Straight from my pocket to yours. You’re getting paid to read this guide. But I’ll get into the nitty-gritty details down below.
What This Book Will Teach You
Here are just a handful of things that you’ll learn from reading How To Start A Big Money T-Shirt Business For Less Than $10:
- How a “stupid” idea led to $500,000 worth of t-shirt sales
- Where to find awesome t-shirt designs for as little as $5 (with pictures)
- Why companies will pay between $50 and $500 for the rights to your shirt
- What to do with a design that won’t sell (hint: you can still make money from it)
- How to make big profits in any city or town, regardless of population size
- Why selling ordinary t-shirts is more profitable than blogging, writing eBooks, or day trading
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. You’ll also learn how to design high-tech apparel at a low-cost, how to pitch a near-perfect sale, and plenty more.
I should also mention that you aren’t getting pie-in-the-sky theory either. This is all actionable advice that can be used today. If you really want, you could probably go out and turn a profit this very afternoon.
How My Personal Strategies Have Allowed Me To Connect With Million-Dollar Businesses
At the time of writing I am currently in the process of selling one of my shirt designs to a major clothing company. However, even my smallest clients generate millions of dollars in revenue every single year.
I don’t sell to Joe and Jane Average, I target million-dollar companies. And you should too. When you sell to people you have to deal with folks who are weird and cheap and never pay their bills on time. It’s a nightmare. When you sell to businesses you get paid right away and there’s very little hassle.
And the best part? There are dozens of million-dollar businesses right in your hometown. Local bars, ice cream shops, restaurants, plumbers, the list goes on and on.
Even if you live in the middle of bumf*ck nowhere (as I demonstrate in the book) you can still turn a profit.
Unlike other t-shirt books, which usually concentrate on selling directly to individual customers, I will show you how to sell to multimillion-dollar businesses. It saves time and spares you from frustration. Increasing your profit margins while simultaneously reducing your workload.
5 Insider Secrets About The Clothing Industry
Because you’re reading this blog, I want to treat you to something special. Some “secret” information about the t-shirt industry. It’s powerful stuff and useful to know even if you don’t think you have the desire to design your own shirts.
Anyone interested in making money and becoming their own boss should read the following. It can save you from making one of the biggest business mistakes of all time: Venturing into an unprofitable and overly complex field.
Here are five harsh truths about the world of selling t-shirts:
1. Clothing Is One Of The Most Profitable Industries In The World
Roughly 5% of the world’s billionaires attained their wealth through the clothing industry. Leslie Wexner, Ralph Lauren, Sara Blakely, Amancio Ortega, and dozens of others made billions off their clothing brands.
There are zero billionaire bloggers, eBook authors, motivational speakers, or YouTube personalities. In other words, all the “profitable” fields that young men flock towards pale in comparison to clothing.
While I’m obviously not going to say that you will become a billionaire off your designs, there’s always a chance. At the very least you’ll be able to carve out a tiny piece of a multibillion-dollar market, which is still more than enough to live comfortably on.
2. Shirts Have Huge Markups
Almost every t-shirt you have ever bought cost about $1 to make. Whether it was $6 at Wal-Mart or $75 at Nordstroms.
This is good news for you because the profit margins are huge. Major companies are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a shirt design, knowing full well that they’ll make that money back. Even simple designs, like the ones you’ll see in this book, can go for $200, $300, or even $500.
And smaller local businesses are willing to pay generously too. Even if they only plan on using your designs for promotional giveaways or raising brand awareness (a fancy term for advertising), companies will easily recoup their initial investment.
When you follow this method everyone gets to experience massive profits.
3. Selling Shirts Is Easier Than Almost Any Other Business
If you can send an email and hold a conversation you can sell a shirt. There are no huge barriers of entry. You don’t have to build a website, learn to program Ruby on Rails, or take a special class.
Selling t-shirts is one of the simplest and most straightforward businesses to get into. It’s a great secondary source of income and a good “starter business” because of how simplistic it is.
There’s a very low learning curve, the book will help you master it, and the start-up costs are virtually nonexistent. If you have enough money to buy a coffee you can start your own t-shirt company.
4. Marketing Is All That Matters
99.9% of t-shirts are all the same. If it weren’t for the logos I couldn’t tell Izod from Ralph Lauren, or even a $10 shirt in the clearance isle at Target. The biggest difference between most shirts is the marketing. That’s it.
How you pitch your design is the most important factor. Sales is an easy skill to develop. Even if you aren’t a “great” salesperson, you’ll still be able to do well. The book contains pre-written sales pitches that you’re free to use however you want. You can repeat them word-for-word and still make money.
5. There Is No Such Thing As A “Bad Shirt”
“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” as the saying goes. And that’s true with shirts as well. While you should never intentionally create a bad product, there are certain designs which your ideal client may not agree with. And that’s okay.
The t-shirt industry is large enough for someone to appreciate what you’ve created. I’ve still profited off my “dud” shirts by finding the right people to sell too. Different groups have different tastes. What one market might not enjoy, another will find spectacular.
