But I live a double life and need to let her go”

Breakup advice: Don’t be a mopey sap
I almost got married.
This isn’t a trick to get you to read the rest of my article. It’s something that happened. I liked a girl and contemplated a serious relationship.
Also, before some whinny troll comes along and screams about how “Marriage is a raw deal and women are evil. That’s why I only have sex with anime blowup dolls.” I would like to point out that there are plenty of cool girls who aren’t ball busting harpies.
Anyway, I considered marrying my girlfriend so we could move to Asia and grow heirloom tomatoes (or whatever married people do). But then I thought things out and decided against it.
Now I’m single and back in Iowa, which isn’t exactly a bachelor’s paradise. But, rather than crying about the situation, I’ve decided to make the most of it.
Here are a few pieces of breakup advice so that you don’t spend all day agonizing over your predicament.
Find other stuff to do
I’m putting a Body Vision PT600 Power Tower in my house and challenging my family members to a pull-up contest. If I want to win I’ll have to do about 50 pull-ups. That’s going to take quite a bit of time to master.
In addition to this I also am working on setting up an area to shoot YouTube videos and I want to develop a product about how I doubled my site traffic (and added 100 new Twitter followers) in the span of 30 days.
Lastly, I’m working on a few other business ventures and implementing some new fitness advice at the gym. My holiday stay in Iowa is going to be a busy one.
Don’t ruin your life
This might sound like obvious advice, but I know four or five dudes who wrecked their futures. Guys that got super fat, lost their jobs, and generally made themselves look like buffoons.
Assuming that you take care of yourself and aren’t making poor life choices, you’ll have a million more opportunities with women.
There are plenty of “old men” who still have women swooning over them. Quitting the gym or going into debt is not going to help your situation. You can be emotional without being destructive.
Go build other relationships
I haven’t seen my friends back home in over three months. And I’m kind of excited to just hang out with them.
Most guys could do with stronger male friendships. Instead of sitting at home listening to Drake albums go out and do stuff with your buddies. Poker night, playing basketball, going to hockey games, shooting guns, etc…
It’s impossible to be sad when you’re firing a .357 magnum at a watermelon.
Spend more time around other men. You’ll have fun and create friendships that last a lifetime.
Final thoughts
In case the tone of this post wasn’t a strong enough indicator, I’m pretty positive. Breaking up with girls doesn’t ever really bother me that much.
Yet it always surprises me when other guys split with their girlfriends and then develop a negative tone. It’s not like you’re never going to meet any girls again. And you aren’t causing some kind of horrible emotional damage to the chick you broke up with. Women get hit one a billion times a day.
If you’re keeping busy, and working towards something, both of you will be over the breakup within a week.
